About This Activity
In this class we will use screen-free coding to explore storytelling and literacy. At the beginning of the semester, students will become familiar with the language of coding and play coding games. As the class progresses, children will use both Botley 2.0 and Blue-Bots to learn how to code robots through obstacles on a grid. For students taking the class for a second time, the first 3–4 weeks will focus on reviewing and strengthening foundational coding skills before moving into work with the robots. Instruction will be adjusted each semester based on the experience level of the group.
