Did you know your brain needs foundational skills before you can read? This class aims to equip students with crucial pre-reading skills, setting them up for success as beginning readers. Through a multi-sensory approach, we’ll focus on phonological awareness and connecting sounds with symbols. Parents will also receive activities to reinforce these skills at home. Each enrolled child will receive a laminated alphabet arc, along with uppercase and lowercase letters, to aid their learning outside of class. Additionally, students will receive a dice to play at-home games that align with the camp’s lessons. Two sessions are offered -- this session is for students entering 1st or 2nd grade. This session will uses more alphabetic phonics.
