Discover what it takes to be a stellar creator by using the engineering design process to re-create ancient and modern buildings, skyscrapers, bridges and homes. Students will use their creativity and imagination to solve weekly engineering challenges while learning about safety measures, how to plan for climate and natural disasters, practice math skills for load bearing & wind bearing experiments and how to pick the best building materials for their structures. If your children like to build, work with their hands or are curious about how things work this is the class for them! Meets Fridays 3:15-4:15 in the Flex Rm. on TIS campus. Dates: Feb. 19, 26; Mar. 4, 11, 26; Apr. 2, 9, 16. Geared for ages: 1-5th gr. Tuition is $120 for the eight weeks, Second child 1/2 price!
