INSTRUCTOR: Tracy and Jordan Mohr LOCATION: LOWER SCHOOL SCIENCE LAB PICK UP IS IN THE SCIENCE LAB 6 WEEKS The Kids Cooking Connection-The Kitchen Table - Welcome to The Kitchen Table, a hands-on cooking experience where young chefs learn much more than how to follow a recipe! Throughout the year, students will build real kitchen skills while learning how to think like a chef—experimenting with flavors, making creative choices, working as a team, solving problems, and gaining the confidence to cook beyond the classroom. Each session features a different theme and can be taken independently, so new students can join at any time. Students who return for multiple sessions will continue building on skills they've already learned while taking on new challenges and greater independence. Rather than simply completing recipes, young chefs will learn reusable cooking methods they can take home: how to safely use kitchen tools, build a meal from what is available, season and adjust flavors, create sauces, understand cooking methods, work as part of a kitchen team, and turn familiar ingredients into something completely their own. Classes include Kitchen Missions, team challenges, cooking games, flavor experiments, stories, and plenty of hands-on cooking. And yes—they get to eat what they learn!
