The Zoology Summer Camp is a five-day immersive experience designed for high school students interested in animal science, conservation, and the role of modern zoos. The course will explore the evolution of zoos, ethical considerations in animal care, advanced animal classification, and the science behind animal behavior and enrichment. Through engaging seminars, hands-on activities, and case studies, students will analyze real-world conservation challenges and develop solutions. We have a field trip planned mid-week to visit a local preserve. Students will get behind-the-scenes insights into zoo operations, enrichment programs, and conservation efforts through some on-campus presentations as well.
