About This Activity
Students will explore imaginative creature-building through playful, hands-on, mixed media techniques using clothespins, cardboard and various materials. Throughout the week, students will build a variety of creatures including bugs, fish, insects and whimsical 3D animals. Each day introduces a new approach to construction, texture and design, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and character building. Students will explore movement, balance, symmetry and hanging elements while developing their own artistic style. By the end of the week, students will create a collection of unique creatures.
