What happens when we say "yes?" Improv creates a world full of possibilities based on the concept of "yes, and." The concept of "yes, and..."evolved as a foundational rule from the Chicago improvisational theater scene in the 1950s. There are no bad ideas - just ideas to build on to create something awesome! The class will work as an ensemble. Through improvisational games and exercises, participants will learn how to trust their instincts and listen intently to each other. This class provides a fun and active way to build your improvisational skills. These skills strengthen self-confidence, public speaking, teamwork, and creativity. You will learn to trust your teammates and yourself. The humor will stem from the work's honesty. During the final session, we will have a performance showcasing what we have learned throughout our process.
