Spring Skills Academy 2024 Back by popular demand is the Shoot to Score Spring Skills Academy (April - May) operating out of the Seven Oaks Arena in Winnipeg, MB! The Spring Skills Academy challenges each player to enhance their individual skill set, hockey IQ and compete level. Offering a unique hockey experience specifically designed to focus on skill development in critical areas as opposed to playing full ice games. Invest in your athlete’s skill development through on-ice training that will focus on speed, agility, power skating, passing and shooting. Fundamental skill development will always be a top priority in our instruction, but the game evolves rapidly, and so should your player's coaching. We at STS believe firmly that the use of small area games and critical area training force players to read and react to different situations that arise throughout the game of hockey. This pushes each player's skill-set to be effectively used with little time and space, something that comes at a premium in the game of hockey.. Shoot to Score Hockey continues to stay one step ahead when it comes to quality, first-class hockey development. Challenging each player with an opportunity to enhance their fundamental skills in a positive learning and safe environment. Maintaining a 6:1 player:instructor ratio maximizes repetitions while keeping players moving.
