Super Sitters: Red Cross Babysitting Training & more - Camp Leader- Samantha Heath - July 8-12 - 9 am - 2 pm - Rising 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th Graders, Ages 11-15 - $360 (includes lunch and $45 Red Cross fee) - Open to girls and boys - The Red Cross requires campers to be between the ages of 11 and 15 on the first day of camp - Learn to provide safe and fun childcare - Mrs. Heath will guide the campers through a Red Cross online certification program - The Red Cross program has been developed nationally and includes lessons in basic first aid, decision-making, and working with children and parents - Spend time with friends developing crafts, games, recipes, and techniques to engage children in enjoyable activities - Supplement the online training with 'hands-on babysitting practice' with younger Summit Summer camps. - Create and stock supplies for a "babysitting bag" - Practice solutions for tricky babysitting scenarios - Develop a thoughtful plan for the next steps in beginning a babysitting career
