About This Activity
Art Explorations • Camp Leader: Kara Lewis • July 20-24 • 9am - 2pm • Rising 4th–6th Graders • $400 (lunch included) • Description: - In this camp, children will explore drawing, watercolor, collage, mixed media, and acrylic painting on canvas. - Develop creative problem-solving skills, fine motor control, and hand-eye coordination through intentional, hands-on artmaking. - Build confidence and self-expression while making independent artistic choices. - Fine arts–based, studio-style curriculum focused on artistic process, skill development, and individual creative expression (not a craft-based camp). - Open to all skill levels; no prior art experience required. - Dress for mess! - All art materials and supplies provided by Summit. - Curriculum is structured yet flexible, allowing freedom, autonomy, and individual creative voice. - Campers will take home a beautiful collection of finished artwork on Friday.
