About This Activity
OGS Session 1 - Theme: Makerspace Magic - Two Weeks: July 6-10 and July 13-17 - 9 am - 2 pm - Rising 1st - 5th Graders - $1400 (lunch included) OGS is a camp for rising first–fifth graders that blends Orton-Gillingham–based instruction in reading, writing, and math with recreational activities. The camp curriculum is drawn directly from Summit’s Triad Division, which is accredited by the Orton-Gillingham Academy. Camp leaders are members of the Triad Division faculty and hold the same Orton-Gillingham training required of all Triad teachers. OGS will run in two consecutive two-week sessions. Your child may participate in one or both sessions. For students not enrolled at Summit School, a set of follow-up questions and a short in-person assessment are required in order to determine if OGS can serve the student’s needs and to gain insight into the student’s specific academic challenges. Space is limited.
