The Great Summer Cook-off • Camp Leaders: Syd Gortman & Chef Justin Wilson • June 22-26 • 9am - 2pm • Rising 7th–9th Graders • $390 (lunch included) • Description: - Develop skills and knowledge in cooking, including the safe and proper use of kitchen equipment, proper terminology, measurements, and time management. - Buon appetito! The focus this summer will be on Italian cuisine, including lessons on a variety of pastas and homemade sauces. - Enhance teamwork and problem-solving. - Suitable for beginners or those with limited previous experience. - The class will culminate in a competition on Friday. Campers will be divided into teams to compete in a "Cutthroat Kitchen” style competition with local “celebrity” judges and prizes. Parents are welcome to attend.
