CHEERING! All Wood Ridge/Moonachie Boys & Girls are invited to participate in our cheering program. Placement is based upon grade in September 2021. Flag Cheerleaders: Kindergarten & 1st Grade in September 2021 Mighty Mite Cheerleaders: 2nd Grade in September 2021 Pee Wee Cheerleaders: 3rd & 4th Grade in September 2021 Junior Cheerleaders: 5th & 6th Grade in September 2021 Senior Cheerleaders: 7th & 8th Grade in September 2021 Cheering: Fee for registration is $50 per child or $75 per family for all Wood-Ridge & Moonachie residents that register for Jr. Football & Cheering. To ensure proper fitting and delivery of uniforms, all cheerleaders must be registered by July 15th. Cheering practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday August 3rd through Thursday September 9th from 6-8 p.m. Information will be communicated via email by each cheerleaders assigned cheer coach. It is the responsibility of the parent/child to notify coaches if alternate methods must be arranged to communicate. Any equipment or uniform not returned from the 2020 season should be brought to the Recreation Office prior to registration. You will not be allowed to register for the 2021 season if you have outstanding equipment. Please note: Cheerleaders cheer whenever and wherever the football players play. They cheer at their home field, WRHS or travel away to any of the fields in the Meadowlands Jr. Football Program. Sometimes games will fall on holidays like Halloween and all girls are expected to cheer. In addition, regardless of the weather, cheerleaders cheer in the cold, heat, rain, sleet or snow. Unless the game is cancelled or rescheduled…we cheer!
