About This Activity
We will cover the basics of fishing along with the importance of learning to protect aquatic habitats. You will receive instruction; participate in fun demonstrations and hands-on activities on your way to becoming an interested, knowledgeable, and skilled angler. Daily lessons will include diverse opportunities to practice and target your casting, identify your catch, select the right bait and tie a variety of strong knots. Sunfish, Catfish, Perch, Large and Small Mouth Bass and Pickerel are all local fresh water fish that live in Flanders ponds and marsh for you to practice your skills. Well-informed and educated anglers have a better understanding of water resources and the role we play in its management from rivers to oceans.
