Kids Musical Theatre (Thursday) Experience: Beginners welcome, additional experience is a plus! Rehearsals: 1st-5th Grade: Performers will rehearse every Thursday from 4-6 p.m. & every Sunday from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Auditions & Casting: Each performer who enrolls will perform in TWO casts. One cast will be their primary role (featured) and an ensemble role (smaller role, dancing, and singing in group numbers). Some performers will be cast in age-appropriate featured roles that they will perform twice. Performance Weekend(s) and Casting All Thursday group performances will take place the weekend of April 24th-27th, 2025. You must be available for this entire weekend to participate. Your performer will perform in a minimum of two performances. (Performance days include Thursday through Sunday of each week). Outside of religious and school activities, we can not accommodate any other special requests with show days. These conflicts must be included at the time of casting. This will allow our directors and casting team more flexibility to cast each kid exactly where they want them to be. Siblings will be cast in the same cast(s). Program Duration: January 26th - April 27th. What Happens In Rehearsals? Kids will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the musical being rehearsed. Who Teaches The Kids? Our program is led by our Artistic Director, Jessica Alexander, (MFA Acting, New School University). The program is supported by a number of directors and choreographers who are skilled in various aspects of theatre and performance.
