About This Activity
Kids Musical Theatre at CHIME (Thursday) Experience: All experience levels are encouraged to enroll! Rehearsals: 2nd-8th Graders: Performers will rehearse every Thursday from 3-5 pm. (5-5:30p will be utilized for specialty roles each week). Auditions & Casting: Each performer who enrolls will perform in TWO casts. One cast will be their primary role (featured role) and an ensemble role (dancing and singing in major group numbers). Some performers will be cast in age-appropriate featured roles that they will perform twice. We will hold in-person auditions on February 12th from 3-5 pm at CHIME (a specific time slot will be assigned to each performer), and video auditions will be accepted for any performer who is unable to attend the in-person audition. Program Duration: Spring Semester (Mid Feb - End of May). Dress rehearsals will be on May 27th and May 29th (Must be available). Shows will perform on May 30th and 31st. (Must be available). Session Capacity We are able to enroll 40 kids into the program. A waitlist will open after the first 40 kids are enrolled. What Happens In Rehearsals? Kids will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the musical being rehearsed.
