Tweens Musical Theatre (Monday) Experience: None Needed Rehearsals: 6-8th Graders: Performers will rehearse every Monday from 4:30-7:30pm & every Sunday 3:30-6:30pm. Auditions & Casting: Each performer who enrolls will perform in TWO casts. One cast will be their main show (larger role with lines and a solo, duet, or feature) and an ensemble show (smaller role, dancing and singing in all group numbers). Casting and Conflicts: All performances will take place during the first two weekends of June. Your performer will perform in a minimum of two performances. (Performance days include Thursday through Sunday of each week). Outside of religious and school activities, we can not accommodate any other special requests with show days. This will allow our directors and casting team more flexibility to cast each kid exactly where they want them to be. Once we get closer to February 2023. Program Duration: 4 months What Happens In Rehearsals? Tweens will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the musical being rehearsed. Who Teaches The Kids? Our program is led by Ally Mulholland (AMDA) and produced by our Artistic Director, Jessica Alexander, (MFA Acting, New School University), and supported by a number of assistant directors who are skilled in various aspects of theatre and child development.
