McHenry County Conservation District is using bison and regenerative grazing to restore and manage soil health along with wildlife habitat in prairie and savanna ecosystems. The District's ecologists overseeing the program, along with a special guest, will talk about habitat management using grazing animals to create the right structure and conditions that allows these ecosystems to flourish. Dress for the weather. Details and parking information will be sent to registrants ahead of the program.
Individuals on the roster will receive a confirmation email in regards to the exact meeting location a few days prior to the program. Depending on the location of the bison, we may offer a ride in an ATV. An additional waiver must be signed at the program if you choose to ride in it.
