Description
Wooster City Schools, Montessori, St. Mary's, Wooster Christian Students and home schooled Wooster residents register as individuals and will be placed on teams.
Anyone who does not attend a school located within the City limits of Wooster registers through their school representative or varsity high school coach.
**New this season - This year's evaluations will be conducted as practices, each lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. During these sessions, players will engage in various drills focusing on ball handling, shooting, passing, and layups. There will also be an opportunity for scrimmaging. Evaluations will take place Monday through Friday, during the weeks of October 20th and October 27th, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. All sessions will be held at the Gault Recreation Center at Wooster High School.
Practices will be scheduled by coaches and begin in mid to late November. Coaches will be in contact with you regarding practice dates and times.
The Wooster Recreation Department Basketball registration ends Friday, October 17th at 4:00 p.m. or once full. After the registration deadline, individuals will be put on a wait list and you will be contacted only if needed on a team. Any individuals added to a roster will be taken from the wait list in the order they were placed on it.
COACHES NEEDED: If you are interested in coaching please call Wooster Recreation office at 330-263-5207 or select the correct response in the registration questions.
Please note that if you have not completed and turned in a Youth Participation Waiver form for your child within the last year, you will need to do so before the program begins. The form is valid for one year from the date it is signed and can be used for multiple programs.
