Description
Wooster City Schools, Montessori, St. Mary's, Wooster Christian Students and home schooled Wooster residents register as individuals and will be placed on teams.
Anyone who does not attend a school located within the City limits of Wooster registers through their school representative or varsity high school coach.
Teams are formed based on your child’s participation at a mandatory skill evaluation. This evaluation is scheduled for Sunday, October 25th from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Wooster High School’s Gault Recreation Center. This year's evaluations will be made in a clinic style format that will be 45 minutes long. Each player will go through a series of drills that includes Lay-Ups, Shooting, Ball-Handling, and Defense.
Practices will be scheduled by coaches and begin in late November. Coaches will be in contact with you regarding practice dates and times.
The Wooster Recreation Department Basketball registration ends Friday, October 16th at 4:00 p.m. or once full. After the registration deadline, individuals will be put on a wait list and you will be contacted only if needed on a team. Any individuals added to a roster will be taken from the wait list in the order they were placed on it.
COACHES NEEDED: If you are interested in coaching please call Wooster Recreation office at 330-263-5207 or select the correct response in the registration questions.
Please note we have a new Youth Participation Waiver form that will need filled out for your child, you will need to fill this out before the program begins. This form may be completed and submitted online. The waiver can be found by following this link https://woosteroh.rja.revize.com/forms/14872
The form is valid for one year from the date it is signed and can be used for multiple programs.
