Comics Without Words (3 sessions) Grades 3 – 5 | All Skill Levels Instructor: David Rickert Wednesdays, December 3 – December 17 4:30pm – 6:00pm In this three-day class, students will explore the art of visual storytelling without relying on text. Using only drawings, students will learn how to tell engaging stories through facial expressions, body language, panel pacing, and visual symbols. Each day will focus on a different aspect of wordless comics, including character emotions, line of action, and the use of environments and objects to move a story forward. Students will complete short exercises, participate in gallery walks to share their work, and create their own eight-page mini-comic by the end of the workshop. No prior drawing experience is required—just bring your imagination! FEE: $55 Master Classroom, Main Level Materials Included in Class Fee Image Credit: David Rickert
