About This Activity

Make Room: Exploring Symbol, Story, and Self in Collage Workshop (1 session) High School - Adult | All Skill Levels Instructor: Alissa Ohashi (Fall #1) Saturday, September 26 10:00am – 4:00pm Make Room: Exploring Symbol, Story, and Self Through Collage is a six-hour creative workshop that combines reflective writing, mixed-media collage, and depth psychology to explore identity, creativity, and personal meaning. Through guided prompts and intuitive image-making, participants create a symbolic “room” that reflects an aspect of their inner world. Inspired by Jungian archetypes and the language of symbols, this welcoming process encourages self-discovery, imagination, and meaningful reflection. No artistic experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. The workshop includes an engaging introductory presentation, guided reflection, three hours of art-making, and time for sharing and connection in a supportive community environment. Participants leave with a completed mixed-media collage artwork and a deeper connection to their own creative voice and personal narrative. Participants should bring a packed lunch and beverage. FEE: $70 Master Classroom, Main Level Image Credit: Alissa Ohashi
