Shibori Dyeing Workshop (1 session) High School - Adult | All Skill Levels Instructor: Juliette Montague Saturday, May 9 10:00am – 2:00pm Learn the fascinating art of shibori dyeing! In this workshop, explore shibori from many angles; you'll learn several different shibori techniques and dye a few things from napkins and tea towels to aprons and t-shirts. What is shibori? It's a Japanese dyeing technique that typically involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth and binding it, then dyeing it in indigo. Shibori dyeing is truly an amazing craft, as every piece you dye is a little bit of a mystery. You will love the process of folding fabric, dyeing it, then unfolding it to reveal the organic results. Join up for an amazing day of shibori magic! FEE: $70 Painting & Drawing Classroom, Upper Level Materials provided in class fee, minus pieces that you would like to dye.
