The Fundamentals of Becoming a Personal Stylist (June 9 – 12) Ages 12 to 18 Instructor: Courtney Stone Smith Monday – Thursday, June 9 - June 12 4:00pm-5:00pm Location: Enrile Classroom, Lower Level Are you a teen that’s interested in pursuing a career in fashion? If so, starting in the world of personal styling could be your first step towards success. Author and Professional Personal Stylist, Courtney Stone Smith believes that personal styling is the best place to begin. In her class, students will not only learn about interpersonal skills, but also gain insights into what it takes to become a professional stylist in the fashion industry. Whether you wish to work in editorial styling or work independently with everyday people it all begins with the fundamentals taught in this class. Courtney will guide students in creating impactful style boards, teach them how to effectively communicate with people, assign style tasks to complete, and ultimately provide them with a better understanding of what it truly takes to make it in this competitive field. So, if you're a teenager that has been told that you have an eye for style, are interested in personal styling and looking to excel in the fashion industry, this introductory class is just for you. (Campers will need to bring their own smart device to browse the internet and access the Pinterest and Canva apps. Please have the apps pre-installed before class. The Thursday class session will meet at Evolverie from 4-5pm.) FEE: $60
