Ceramics: Handbuilding – Make Your Favorite Critter! Rising Grades 3-5 Instructor: Hannah Oas Monday – Wednesday, June 15 – June 17 Wednesday - Thursday, July 1 – July 2 9:00am – 10:30am Location: Ceramics Studio, Lower Level This is an introductory ceramics course to sculpt with clay. Students are encouraged to think about perhaps a favorite pet they have had, or it could be a favorite animal! Students will receive guidance in creative problem solving to bring their ideas to life. Students will utilize their hands and various tools to experiment with manipulating clay. Proper technique for creating a form and connecting various parts to make a whole will be covered. A fun course for experimenting with the possibilities of clay. Students will learn proper glazing techniques toward the end of the course, so that they may take their wonderful finished piece home! FEE: $105
