Step into the exciting world of gaming and design! In this hands-on camp, students will explore both the competitive and creative sides of gaming. Campers will learn the fundamentals of teamwork, strategy, and communication through friendly esports challenges while also becoming game designers themselves. Using accessible tools like Scratch, Bloxels, and Minecraft Education, students will design and test their own simple digital or board games. Along the way, they’ll be introduced to core design principles such as objectives, rules, balance, and player feedback. Campers will prototype, playtest, and refine their creations (just like real designers) while also learning about digital citizenship and responsible online gaming.
