This class is a 6 session, biweekly seminar class that is focused on giving teens and their families the tools to succeed when looking into artistic careers, art schools, and preparing for college. Topics that we’ll be covering include: photographing your artwork, assembling your portfolio, how to price your artwork, and much more! Led by professional artists from varying backgrounds, students will gain an insight into starting the process of creating their artistic adult life. This seminar class is not a traditional art-making class, but more so a collaborative environment where high school students with a passion for art can build their confidence and skillset to step forward into a new chapter of their life. To make this class as accessible as possible, we are setting the fee for all 6 classes at $60 total for this 3-month program. Students must commit to being at each session, and parents are welcome to join for the first info session. This class is created for students ages 14-17. An optional print resource list will be given on the first class for those who would like to purchase/rent books we’ll be referencing throughout the program.
