About This Activity

Learn the basics of Wheel Throwing on the Pottery Wheel in a fun, supportive environment geared toward teens! Learn to make things like bowls, cups and mugs. Step by step instruction is provided through the lessons and demonstrations. (Work will be ready for pick up after it is fired in our pottery kilns, families will be contacted for pick-up at a later date) Please note: Accessing the studio requires use of stairs. *Session 1: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Tuesdays 5 Classes, 10 hours total AGES 13-17 Taught by Emma Price **Don't miss out on Session 2, register for both sessions now!** Each Session is an independent class. ✨Please note: - All Materials are provided for this teen pottery class, Including Clay, Glaze, firing work in our kilns, and use of community tools. -Students will be working on an electric pottery wheel with assistance and guidance from the teaching artist. -Students should bring an art smock or apron (clay can be messy!) or may borrow one here at CCArts - Class limited to 10 Students. - Students are responsible for cleaning their studio equipment after use. - Each session is an independent class and must be purchased separately. - This is a Community Studio, No Commercial or Production work allowed. - All work to be fired at CCArts must have been made at CCArts either in a class or in the open studio - Absolutely no outside work will be fired.
