About This Activity
Welcome to Camp Arts for All in Sign 2024, Delaware's only Visual and Performing Arts Camp for Deaf/hard of hearing kids! This week-long full-day camp will be instructed in sign language and provide young people an accepting and empowering space where they can learn new artistic and communication skills, build confidence and self-awareness, connect with other young people like themselves, and most importantly have fun! Students will have the opportunity to create works of visual and performing art that center their perspective and experiences in a safe and accessible environment. Campers will enjoy drawing, painting, mixed media and so much more during their morning and afternoon sessions! Example of Camp Schedule: -Camper Drop-off 8:45-9:00 AM - Morning Session 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM -Lunch/Recess 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM -Afternoon Session 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM -Camper Pick-up 3:00 PM - 3:15 PM Please Note: This is a new pilot program at CCArts and for 2024 is limited to 12-15 students. We hope to expand programing in the Fall and for Summer Camp 2025. *This Camp will be taught in sign language and will have Interpreters available onsite, as needed, throughout the week in the camp and on campus. *Hearing siblings and CODA are encouraged to attend CCArts Visual and Performing Arts camps occurring simultaneously that week, which also take place on the CCArts Yorklyn Campus.
