About This Activity
Learn the ins and outs of Children's Book Publishing in this fun, new workshop! Lead by Giuseppe Catellano, award-winning art director, illustrator, educator, and podcaster, you'll learn the process of breaking into the publishing industry and the steps to take your own work to the next level. Our instructor brings his wealth of knowledge from his many years of experience as an art director at Penguin Random House and Simon and Schuster. You'll leave this workshop with a wealth of knowledge on publishing in Children's Literature. (Total: 1 class, 1.5 hours) IMPORTANT NOTES: - This workshop will be part lecture presentation and part Q&A. This will not be an illustration creation class, so art supplies are not needed. INSTRUCTOR: Giuseppe Catellano: Is an award-winning art director, illustrator, educator, and podcaster. With over 18 years of publishing experience—most years as an art director at Penguin Random House and Simon and Schuster—I have worked with every kind of illustrator on every kind of children’s book.
