About This Activity
Learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel in a fun and supportive environment geared toward younger artists! Students will learn how to create bowls, cups, and mugs for functional use. Instructors will provide step by step guidance through spoken lessons as well as demonstrations. All materials will be provided. (Total: 10 Classes, 20 hours) IMPORTANT NOTES: - Accessing the pottery studio requires use of stairs. - Students will be working on an electric pottery wheel with assistance and guidance from the teaching artist. - An email regarding Pottery Studio expectations and guidelines will be sent out the week before class begins.
