Kids Musical Theatre at Mariposa (Wednesday) Experience: None Needed Rehearsals: 1st-8th Graders: Performers will rehearse every Wednesday from 1:15-3:15 pm. Auditions & Casting: Each performer who enrolls will perform in TWO casts. One cast will be their main show (larger role with lines and a solo, duet, or feature) and an ensemble show (smaller role, dancing and singing in all group numbers). Some performers will be cast in age-appropriate featured roles that they will perform twice. *Note: Pending enrollment, there may only be one cast that would perform twice. Program Duration: Spring Semester (February - Early-May) What Happens In Rehearsals? Kids will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the musical being rehearsed. Who Teaches The Kids? Our program is run by our Artistic Director, Jessica Alexander, (MFA Acting, New School University), and supported by a number of assistant directors who are skilled in various aspects of theatre and child development.
