About This Activity
Fall Sunday All-Day Seasoned Sailing is a seven week full-day camp designed for returning or intermediate sailors who have already mastered the basics. This program begins with a refresher of the skills covered in Discover Sailing and then introduces new, exciting skills such as overboard recovery and sailing backwards. Sailors learn to steer using their body weight and sails, control speed and heel, and navigate a course—all while deepening their understanding of wind, weather, and water safety. Seasoned Sailors also have the opportunity to venture out on full-day adventure sails. Seasoned Sailing combines time on the water with shore-side STEM activities, making learning both interactive and fun. Sailors gain confidence and pride as their skills grow, moving toward greater independence on the water. Primary boat: Sail Cube Schedule 9:15 AM – Morning Game 9:30 AM – Rigging & Boat Checks 9:45 AM – Chalk Talk 10:00 AM – Land Drill 10:15 AM – Break & Gear Up 10:30 AM – On-Water Drill & Game 12:00 PM – Land 12:15 PM – Pick Up 5 Pieces of Trash 12:30 PM – Lunch 1:15 PM – Review Morning & Plan Afternoon 1:30 PM – Leave Site 1:45 PM – Go Sailing 3:00 PM – Land 3:15 PM – Wash Boats & Wetsuits 3:30 PM – De-rig & Change 3:45 PM – Snack & Sunscreen Break 4:00 PM – End-of-Day Group Debrief 4:15 PM – Goodbye Sailors ACSC provides a US Sailing Level 1–certified instructors, safety boats, sailboats, wetsuits, and life vests. Please bring water shoes, warm layers, sunscreen, water, and a lunch.
