Wednesday After-School Discover (aka "Disco") Sailing is a six week part-day camp designed for beginners and those with limited on-the-water experience. Participants learn the fundamentals of sailing, including rigging, launching, and basic boat handling, through hands-on instruction supported by games and activities on and off the water. The program emphasizes fun and safety while encouraging teamwork and friendship. Campers build confidence on the water and develop skills that carry into everyday life. Most campers are ready to move on to Seasoned Sailing after one session of Disco. Each class typically sails six dinghy Sail Cubes, either solo or with a partner, with guidance from an instructor in a safety boat.
