Grades: K-5th. Let's get outdoors and connect with nature through the garden! Enjoy hands-on and inquiry-based activities with plenty of time for exploration and creativity. Examine the living soil, seeds, parts of a plant, and pollination, as well as learn how to grow your own food. During the final class session, celebrate our garden by preparing and eating a salad that we have grown ourselves! Each week, students will meet in the art room first, and Ms. Sopoci will then lead them to the garden. Pickup will be at the garden located at the far end of the Haisley parking lot and bus loop. Please have students dress in close-toed shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty. Classes may be rescheduled for inclement weather. Instructor: Jennifer Sopoci. 6 classes.
