S-P-A-R-T-A-N…..the Spartans are gonna WIN! We are excited to offer a 5th and 6th grade Spartan Spirit Clinic focused on the fundamentals of cheerleading and dance. This will be a six-week program with practices primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Tillman Center. TWO practices are scheduled BEFORE school begins (Wednesday, August 6th from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm AND Tuesday, August 12th from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm). The remaining practices will take place from 3:30 pm - 5:00 in the Tillman Center on 8/14, 8/21, 8/26, 8/28, 9/4, 9/18). We will cheer on the sidelines for four 5th and 6th grade home football games, which are currently scheduled for 8/19, 9/2, 9/16, and 9/23. Kickoff for these games is at 6:30. Participants will learn the proper motions, jumps, and Athens Academy signature cheers, in addition to a dance routine for a halftime performance. All participants will receive a Spartan Spirit Squad T-shirt and pom poms. A black tennis skirt will be needed for all games and appearances.
