After submitting this scholarship application form, you will get an email with instructions to complete the scholarship application by May 30, 2022. The email will describe how to login to your account to download, complete, and/or submit (by uploading a JPEG or PDF image of the completed forms to your account) these two forms to IMSA: 1. To qualify for a scholarship, the student’s family is required to submit proof of financial eligibility: if you qualify for SNAP or Free/Reduced lunch, you qualify, but we need you to submit proof of eligibility. If you do not have a form in your possession or have difficulty getting it from your school or IDHS, you may submit a screenshot showing eligibility. Please contact us at studentenrichment@imsa.edu if you have difficulty with this requirement. Alternatively, a 2020 or 2021 federal tax return showing proof of family income may be submitted. 2. Student Essay (Have your student complete this online). Essay Question: Please explain (in at least 1 paragraph) why you are interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and what you hope to get out of a Summer @ IMSA program. Applying and qualifying for a scholarship does not guarantee an award or registration into the program, as we typically have more families that qualify than we have scholarships available. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis, so it is to your benefit to complete these forms sooner. Waiting until April 1 to submit your proof of eligibility and essay may result in no scholarships being available. See above for details. WATCH YOUR EMAIL and CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER! Award recipients will be notified via email and must reply to scholarship offer within the time period indicated in the email.
