About This Activity
Explore Architecture: Design & Build Avatar: The Last Airbender Inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender, come explore the expressive architecture of the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Water Tribes. Students will design and build unique structures informed by Tibetan palaces, hanging monasteries built into mountainsides, Chinese pagodas, the Forbidden City, Aztec pyramids, flying bison, canyon crawlers, samurai armor designs and ancient multi-hull Polynesian wayfinding catamarans of the Water Tribes and Sand-sailors. How Does Camp Work? Register for a half day ($310/wk, morning only) or full day (choose the “Full Day Option” on the registration checkout page for $225/wk): Half Day Option: We will concentrate our architecture presentation, discussion and main project building in the morning between 9-12:30. Full Day Option: Campers who choose to stay the whole day will enjoy games, outside play, short videos and drawing/craft opportunities that align with our theme for the week. More details will be announced closer to the start of camp.
