10 am - 10:30 am Ages 6-12 yearsLevel 3: Stroke DevelopmentMaximum 6 participantsEach Course includes (8) 30-minute lessonsParticipants must demonstrate abilities from Level 1,2 and/or pass the exit skills assessment. Participants build on previously learned skills to achieve basic water competency in a pool environment. Refinement of front and back crawl. Introduction to rotary breathing, elementary backstroke, breaststroke kick and headfirst entries.To pass this course, participants must be able to:1. Jump into deep water from the side, recover to the surface, maintain position by treading or floating for 1 minute, rotate one full turn, then turn as necessary to orient to the exit point, level off, swim front crawl and/or elementary backstroke for 25 yards, then exit the water.2. Push off in a streamlined position, then swim front crawl for 15 yards, change position and direction as necessary, swim elementary backstroke for 15 yards, then exit the water.
