The storybook club will give students the opportunity to write their own story and build a mini world to go along with it. This club provides students a dedicated time to use their imagination, writing skills, and craftiness. The first component of the club is for students to imagine and write their own stories. Students will draft stories about a topic (fiction or non-fiction) that interests them and eventually write and illustrate their own mini-books. They can create comic books, picture books, etc. based on the world (real or imagined) that they choose to write about. After the story is created, they will make a physical representation of their book. This will be done through a terrarium or dream jar-style creation. Students can let their imaginations run wild by writing their own stories and building a model to go along with them.
