Lego club is student created, with a parent advisor to facilitate the club. This club provides students access to play and socialize with others. Legos help children develop and reinforce skills such as: verbal and non-verbal communication, joint attention, task focus, sharing and turn taking, and collaborative problem solving. Students will be divided into groups of four and be provided with Lego kits. Students will be allocated roles and rotate between stations and roles. The roles will be: architect, supplier, builder, and the director. This club will allow students to create and collaborate with one another, helping them build close friendships and leadership skills. This club will have an additional fee of $50 that will go to the parent advisor who will purchase the LEGO materials for the club activities.
