About This Activity
Successful completion of Beginner Sailing is required before moving to Advanced Beginner. Our certified instructors will get you out on the water sailing and having fun fast. They will reinforce the basics of sailing and build on the skills learned in our beginner and advanced beginner classes to improve knowledge of sailing and skills on the water. Basic elements of sailboat racing will also be introduced during this course. Emphasis is placed on safety, terminology, fundamentals of small boat handling, and seamanship through classroom work and on-the-water activities. All classes are taught by Certified US Sailing Instructors. You must have basic swimming skills. Well fitting personal flotation device (PFD) and closed toe shoes must be worn during each class.
