About This Activity
Description
Are you a budding artist ready to explore your creative potential? Then check out this fun and unique watercolor painting camp. Campers will learn to create with basic composition, shapes, forms, value, texture and light, but most importantly the amazing effects of watercolors. Project will be assigned based on student age and skill level. All guidance and tips will be provided by Shirley Lim (artist/instructor).
Week: 6/23 to 6/27
- Morning 9am-12pm
- Theme: Storybook Fantasy - Fictional characters, fantastic lands, and mythical beasts come to life.
- Afternoon 1pm - 4pm
- Theme: Hello Farm! - Paint a serene landscape with farmhouses and charming animals.
Week: 7/14 to 7/18
- Morning 9am-12pm
- Theme: It’s a Jungle Out There - Create colorful animals in their habitats.
- Afternoon 1pm - 4pm
- Theme: Four Seasons - Warm and green, hot and bright, cold and yellow, frosty and white. Let’s explore colors of the four seasons.
Week: 8/4 to 8/8
- Morning 9am-12pm
- Theme: Famous Places - Breathtaking landscapes and buildings around the world.
- Afternoon 1pm - 4pm
- Theme: Feathered Friends - Discover the extraordinary shapes and colors of birds, students are welcome to invent their own imaginary species.
Week: 8/11 to 8/15
- Morning 9am-12pm
- Theme: Still Life – Learn the basics of drawing and painting 3D objects, then create a background out of imagination.
Watercolor Camps will be held in the small room at the Mission Blue Center.
