About This Activity
Ages 5-8: Welcoming beginning-intermediate levels. In this class, students are introduced to the basic fundamentals of classical ballet. We will focus on ballet technique, such as the positions of the feet and arms, vocabulary, and musicality, with the emphasis on creativity and self-expression. Students will be introduced to elementary barre, center work, and across-the-floor routines. Ms. Marissa works with her ballet students on body awareness, building strength and flexibility, coordination, grace, confidence, and self-expression. Attire: Ballet shoes are required for all Ballet classes. (We have gently worn ballet shoes for sale, sizes vary). Ballet attire is recommended: Tights and a leotard, or leggings/shorts and a fitted shirt. Boys may wear pants are that easy to move in or shorts. We ask that student's hair is clipped out of the face.
