Level 2 & Level 3- Level 2 begins with holding breath and swimming with legs only, swimmers will start to put Front Crawl and Back Crawl strokes together after mastering the glide. They will be encouraged to swim 1/3 the distance of the shallow end without touching the bottom of the pool. We will begin diving and treading water skills. Level 3 will be for swimmers who have the ability to swim ½ of the pool's length with either Front Crawl, Back Crawl, or rudimentary Breast Stroke. We will focus on exercises to enhance swimmers' stroke, swimmers will practice treading water. They will learn dolphin kicks and how to dive into the bottom of the deep end to retrieve a toy. Pre-School & Level 1: In the Pre-School Lessons, any child above the age of 2, who is just starting to learn to hold breath, float, enter the water independently, or gravitates toward the water is an ideal candidate for this level. Parents are welcome to sit on the pool deck and if needed come sit on the side of the pool with unsure 1st timers. In Level 1, swimmers will practice holding breath, using arms while on front and back float, pushing off the wall, and kicking legs in the water (Among other skills). *Goggles not required. Swimmers may bring their own goggles.
