Junior Lifeguarding offers an exciting transition from an advanced Learn-to-Swim course to the Lifeguarding program, and challenges participants to stay involved with aquatics. The program includes water safety and first-aid training, daily workouts, lifeguard competitions, and more. Physical fitness and skills development are balanced with self-esteem and camaraderie. This course will not certify you as a Lifeguard. Strong swim skills a must. Participants are required to pass a non-competitive swim test and the following skills must be demonstrated: · Swim 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side · Tread water for 30 seconds · Submerge and retrieve a 10lb object off the bottom of the pool
