League play for youth with little to no experience in organized basketball. Age-appropriate modifications are utilized to ensure safety, fun and skill development based on maximum participation, balanced teams, positive coaching, and sportsmanship. No score is kept at this level. For more information contact AlbemarleRoadRecreationCenter@MecklenburgCountyNC.gov or 980-314-1101.Practices will be held on weekday afternoons/evenings. Parents will be required to attend a pre-season meeting and complete the Parents Association for Youth Sports training. Fee includes uniform and award. Hard items, including, but not limited to, beads, barrettes, bobby pins and other adornments in the hair that are securely fastened to the head and do not present an increased risk to the player, teammates or opponents are allowed.
