EARN YOUR WHISTLE! Cherry Point Aquatics Rookie Lifeguard camp is for kids ages 8-14 years old. Participants enrolled get to learn what lifeguards do and have an opportunity to practice various skills. Participants must pass a prerequisite swim test. Camp costs $25.00. Prerequisite swim test includes: 1: Swim 25 yards, non-stop, without swim aids and with a productive, recognizable swimming stroke. Participants may swim using the front crawl or breaststroke. (Swimming on the side, back, or underwater are not allowed.) 2: Jump in, submerge, resurface and tread water for 1 minute. *All classes are located aboard MCAS Cherry Point, NC. It is the sole responsibility of the registrant to ensure they have base access. MCCS will not sponsor or facilitate access for any participant enrolled in an Aquatics program.
