About This Activity

Description

Art in Engineering Led by Allen Moore
(participants should bring a lunch and snack each day)

Learn the art of engineering by making art and sound projects that use engineering design principles. Participants will also visit a local manufacturer and learn how engineering is used to create their products.

Throughout the camp, participants will prototype, design, and fabricate their own projects using a range of tools in NEIU’s makerspace, including 3D printers and a laser cutter. They will also gain insight into career pathways and opportunities within the manufacturing field.
This is the third year of offering this camp and there may be similarities in the projects if you attended last year.

This camp is sponsored in part by a grant from Sparkforce Manufacturing, the Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA), The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI), and Chemical Coaters Association International Finishing Education Foundation. (CCAI FEF)
