About This Activity

Summer Lessons are being offered to students who are performing below their grade level in various foundational skills. In the course of sixteen sessions, your child will have the support necessary to make headway, gain confidence, and prevent summer slide before next fall. Summer is a perfect time to focus on reading... especially while leaving time for fun in the sun! $1500 includes sixteen (16) in-person, individual 30 minute lessons. This is meeting every day. Program Runs: June 19th - July 12th, Mon - Fri, 8:30a.m. - 11:30a.m. Please note we cannot refund nor reschedule missed lessons. An individual data report (showing your child's growth and progress) will be provided after the culmination of ten summer sessions. Individually crafted lessons will boost confidence in all five foundational reading areas: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension/critical thinking). Instruction and practice will be customized for your child in those areas needing the most improvement. Selections of full-color reading materials of the highest quality for optimal engagement. To reflect their unique interests, children can choose among various popular (just-right) reading materials and fun games in our practice together. Older students (Grade 2+) read well-known Caldecott award winners, stories with multi-cultural points of view, and titles revered for their gorgeous artwork and/or illustrations. I strive to make learning to read engaging at every turn, this helps growth take hold! *NOTE: This program is only opened to pre-approved students by Mrs. House.
